Challenging behavior is a common concern for families and teachers of children aged 0-5, mainly because it can impact learning and proper social and emotional development. Infants sometimes experience difficulties with eating, sleeping, and soothing, while toddlers may exhibit challenging behaviors such as biting, hitting, spitting, and refusing to nap. When children start preschool, they are expected to know how to calm down, take turns with peers, follow directions, and transition smoothly between activities.
As your coach, I will work with you to design a Behavior Support Plan for your child. This plan will include specific strategies that you can use to teach skills, prevent and respond to challenging behavior, and reduce the likelihood of it happening again in the future.
